Todd, Melinda and Dani Sue Carter are the Broken Chair Band, and all ride for the Broken Chair brand cattle ranch, so their original songs are written from a ranching viewpoint. Their unique "Americowboyfolkgrass" music reflects Americana, Western, Folk and Bluegrass music, with bass guitar, acoustic guitar and fiddle. Todd garnered the 2015 Western Writers of America's Silver Spur Award for the Best Western Song, "Charlie and Evangeline," co-written with noted western performer Doug Figgs. Dani Sue, who sings harmony and  plays lead fiddle, has sung with the band since the age of three, and Melinda provides the foundation sound with her acoustic guitar.

Steve has sung Western Music while writing and reciting Cowboy Poetry for over 17 years. In 1989 at Ft. Huachuca, AZ, he rode with B Troop, 4th Cavalry for three years. There he learned to ride and care for horses, and learned about Cavalry life of the 1860s. In 1995, Steve joined the Cochise Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering as Artist Liaison then served as Co-Chair, 2003 - 2014. He's a school presenter and teaches cowboy poetry to grades 3-12. Jan was born in Michigan and lived on a small farm. In order to hear country music from the Southern States, he would fill his ‘49 Ford with nineteen-cent a gallon gas and drive all night into the country so that his AM radio would pick up the stations from down south. He owned and operated a machine shop in Mesa for 31 years and is now retired and can pursue his passion, Classic Cowboy Poetry.

Since 1880, three generations of Jim's family lived in New Mexico. He has spent most of his life on the Great Plains but loves Arizona and New Mexico. Jim first heard traditional Cowboy Songs on his Father's and Grandfather's laps when he was very young. When he finally picked up a guitar, it just seemed natural to sing Western Music. Jim has performed at Cowboy Poetry and Music Gatherings at Scottsdale's Festival of the West, Dakota Cowboy Poetry and Music Gatherings in Medora, North Dakota, the Cochise Gathering in Sierra Vista and others. Jim enjoys writing his own poetry and likes to sing Cowboy Songs, some he has written.

With an Arizona heritage dating to the 1800s, Mike enjoys sharing stories in rhythmic form - stories dealing with the joys and dreams, and the more serious, sad, and heartfelt realities of cowboy life. Humorous, energetic, patriotic, solemn, simple, caring, wild, sad, daring, trusting... the list goes on and the cowboy's guilty of it all. His hope is to share a bit of that spirit in his writings and recitations. He received the CPG Gail I. Gardner Award as an Arizona Cowboy and Poet, and his book was recipient of the Will Rogers Medallion Award. Mike feels there's educational as well as entertainment value in sharing Cowboy Music and Poetry.

Singer/songwriter Belinda Gail is one of the most sought after women performing Western Music today. Her breathtaking performances, have earned her the Western Music Association's award for 'Female Performer of the Year' for an unprecedented seven years. Numerous other awards and nominations confirm her energy and appeal as a performer.

Igor the Jazz Cowboy is a world-touring troubadour presenting Americana music from the Deep South to the Wild West. He sings in four octaves from basso to harmony to yodeling and plays various stringed instruments. His home towns include Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Nashville, New Orleans, Hollywood and Phoenix. Igor is a former New Christy Minstrel and professional accompanist ranging from John Denver to Benny Goodman. He has a BFA in music and is a Western Swing Hall of Fame member. A farm boy, from Central North Dakota, whose career spanned 37 years throughout the Midwest, as a cooperative lender and CEO. He is a volunteer International Consultant and has gone on 15 overseas projects since retiring in 2000. Western poetry is his passion and Marv has been published in several Western publications. He lives outside of Green Valley, Arizona, with his wife Candy. Marv has 4 children and 3 grandchildren.

Ron Hinkle is new to Western music, but grew up playing banjo in pizza parlors with traditional Jazz bands. Many of the pizza parlor sing-along songs he had been playing are early Western Swing band standards. He's a published author with his Plectrum Banjo method book, and he continues to update instructional books and sheet music for the Clifford Essex Music Company Ltd. of Fakenham, England. He is also a columnist for their magazine, BMG, and writes a blog, The Banjo Snob. Ron spent the last 20 years of his career as a musician. In 2014, he retired from the U.S. Army. He resides in Sierra Vista, AZ with his wife Paige and two cats.

Chris Isaacs is a poet and storyteller who has lived the life that he writes about. He has seen life from a Cowboy's point of view for all of his 60-plus years, and his poems and stories are alive with the heart and humor of that life. He can usually find the funny side of any situation, and is considered by many to be one of the finest humorists in the country. He is a three time recipient of the AWA Will Rogers Award.  In 2005 Chris received the Arizona CPG Gail I. Gardner Award along with the Wickenburg C of C Western Heritage Award, and in 2009 he was inducted in into the Arizona Culturekeepers.
